I visited Hope Gardens a few days ago and I've learnt to never judge book by its cover. After taking that 5 minute stroll in from Old Hope Road, I entered into what I call a Mystical Garden.

I was blown away by the absolute beauty of this place, the flower maze, ponds, fountains, Chinese monuments, restaurants and the garden. Instantly, I felt in touch with nature, the air felt so pure and clean.

In case your wondering what to do while there, its ideal for group meetings, squad linkups and probably just a day away from reality. There are quite a few wooden gazebos nestled away in different parts of the garden, you could bring a blanket, get your friends, order a few pizzas and have the time of your life in this nugget of paradise for a day.

For the picture lovers and photographers, the ambiance is perfect for a photo shoot. The garden is multifaceted so you could have a Chinese themed photo shoot by the Chinese monuments or a bridal shoot by the flowers. The choice is yours!

How to get there?

It's less than 3 minutes out of Papine, if your brave enough you could maybe even walk. However any route taxi to Half Way Tree can drop you by the gate for just a $100. If you prefer to call a taxi it should cost you no more than $400.

It's free! So you should definitely visit.

About Me

I'm Shemarr Henry, an explorer at heart. As a little girl from rural Jamaica, moving to Kingston for me was like throwing me into a whole new country. Everything changed. However, instead of locking myself away on campus, I decided to explore, and I loved it!

So I want to share every bit of the journey with you!
